Do I have to use all of i-StartUp’s services?

No. i-StartUp is built so you can use any or all of its products and services.

Why do I need to Sign up?

We use this information to build a picture of you and to take your contact details so we can tell you when your products are ready. You can Login at any time and change your details. We treat the information you provide us with the strictest confidentiality and will not use them for any other purpose than delivering i-StartUp products and services. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

Register your company

Why do I need to register my new company with Companies House?

If you intend to trade as a Limited or Limited by Guarantee (not for profit), you will need to form your business through Companies House. If you intend to trade as a sole trader, you do not need to form a Limited organisation with Companies House. You will be expected to conform to all other government rules when running your business. What is Companies House?

A government organisation which:

  • incorporates and dissolves limited companies
  • examines and stores company information delivered under the Companies Act and related legislation;
  • makes this information available to the public.

How does 'Register your company' work?

We use a 'Company Formation Wizard' to pass your details directly to Companies House. They then process your company's details in as little as 4 working hours and send us the documentation you need to begin trading as a Limited or Limited by Guarantee organisation. We then pass the files to you. See our ‘Help with registration’ pages for more details.

Why are there different types of formation package?

These are designed to suit your budget. At entry level you receive digital files by email, which you can print and use. Our premier service provides you with two bound copies of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, printed Certificate of Incorporation, loose Leaf, hard Back, combined Company Register, first Board Minutes and a plier style Company Seal. What is a corporate identity?

This is a term used to describe a business’s appearance. It’s how your customers will see your business in print or online.

Why do I need a corporate identity?

In order to stand out from your competition and be instantly recognisable to your customers you need a look that makes you different… memorable. Successful corporate identities are the basis of successful businesses.

What does ‘Create your identity’ do?

This part of i-StartUp helps you to create a corporate identity for your business, in the form of a set of stationery, and provides you with the tools to start trading within days.

How does it work?

We take a working ‘brief’ from you through our quick and easy Identity Wizard. Within it you’ll provide us with information about you and your business and its target audience. Right down to things like colours, styles and likes and dislikes. You also have the opportunity to tell us about anything specific you want to see… all in several simple steps.

What happens when I’ve filled the Identity Wizard in?

We’ll ask you whether you’d like our digital package – your identity will be sent to you as print friendly pdfs (Portable Document Files), in full colour, along with jpg and vector versions of your new logo for use on screen or in print.

Or whether you’d like our digital package + printed stationery supplied by us. Simply select what you want from the drop-down menus, make your payment to complete the order and leave the rest to us. See our ‘Step-by-step’ pages for full details.

How will I view my new identities?

We’ll upload both of them to an area on i-StartUp, which only you can access and drop you an email to say it’s ready to view. You’ll then be able to choose your favourite identity and either approve or amend it (maximum 2 times).

How do amend my chosen identity?

Once you’ve selected your favourite, you can enter any changes you’d like to see in the same area you view your work. You’ll have 2 sets of amends to get everything absolutely right.

How long will my amendments take?

We make your amendments within 2 working days.

How do I approve my identity?

Once you’re happy, just click the ‘Approved’ button within your area.

What happens once I approve my identity?

We complete you order instantly by emailing you high-resolution artwork files for your use. If you’ve ordered print too, we’ll deliver them to your specified address within 10 working days.

What does 'Market your services' do?

The i-StartUp marketing services enable you to develop marketing products like leaflets and websites, quickly and cheaply.

Why do I need to market my business?

To stand the best chance of competing against your business, you need to get your business name out there. Our marketing products can help you do that.

How does it work?

Once you've chosen your products on i-StartUp we'll email you templates. Just enter the copy you want to see on your product - along with any additional info and send it back to us. We'll than design your product and let you know when the first proof is ready.

Once you're happy we’ll either print your product or make it live (in the case of a website). Simple.

Can I have images on my marketing material?

Yes. You can send an image that you like (must be print worthy if it’s going on printed material), or alternatively we’ll choose one for you.

How will I view my new marketing proofs?
